If lines are parallel, then same-side interior angles are supplementary.

Same-side interior angles are the pair of angles that are on the same side of the transversal line and inside the two parallel lines.

When two lines are parallel, any pair of same-side interior angles add up to 180° in measure. Hence they are supplementary. This is called Same Side Interior Angles Theorem.
