What are the functions of political parties election and government at the state and local levels?

Answer:

The mayor runs the city, like the governor would run the state, and the president would run the USA. The mayor has a city council, which are also elected each mayor election. The governor is usually elected every 4 years, except in 2 states, Vermont and New Hampshire, where they serve 2 year terms. The president is elected every 4 years, and can only serve 2 terms max.
