Select the correct text in the passage.

Which phrase from "The Oven Bird" can be interpreted as a metaphor for the modern world?
He says the early petal-fall is past
When pear and cherry bloom went down in showers
On sunny days a moment overcast;
And comes that other fall we name the fall.
He says the highway dust is over all.

When pear and cherry bloom went down in showers

If im not mistaken this should be correct. A metaphor takes one thing and comapre it to another. As suggested in the passage he or she is saying the pear and cherry bloom felll comparing this action to showers
