x = 2, y = 5

Explanation:

y = 2x − 1

y = −3x + 14

<=>

3*y = 3*(2x) - 3*(1)

2*y = 2*(-3x) + 2*(14)

<=>

3y = 6x - 3

2y = -6x + 28

From here, by adding up these 2 equations (left side + left side, right side + right side), you have:

5y = 25

=> y = 5

=> 5 = 2x - 1 => x = 2
