They called Hitler the "Caesar of this era" for many reasons, one being his influence. Roman emperors were held in the highest respect and obtained more power than any other person in their civilization, much like in Nazi Germany, where most Germans were extremely fond of the regime and respected Hitler as their Fuhrer (leader).
