What accounts for the dramatic differences between the Glorious Revolution and the French Revolution?

The Glorious Revolution was peaceful because William of Orange was invited by the British Parliament and there was no conflict. On the other hand, the French Revolution was very violent, as it started with riots in rural and urban areas along with the killings of French nobles.
