So there's not an image to show what shape this is. But I'll do both rectangle and triangle, which would make the most sense given these numbers.

The area of a rectangle is simply length times width. So 17in is the length and 7in is the width. Doesn't matter which one's which though, the answer will still be the same.

A= l x w

A= 17in x 7in

A= 119in^2

The area of a triangle is base times height divided by 2. So let's say 17 is the height and 7in is the base. Again, doesn't matter which one's which though, the answer will still be the same.

A= bh/2

A= (7in)(17in)/2

A= 59.5in^2
