So if you add the numbers 56, 65, 77, 81, and 92 you would end up with 371.

To get an average, or the median, you take the numbers, add them together, then divide the answer by how ever many numbers you had.

In this case, you had 5, so

56+65+77+81+92=371

then divide by 5 so

371/5=74.2
