first you have to find what x equals before finding the degree of RUT
1) isolate 3x+5 and 2x-4 by subtracting 59 from 180 since every line has a sum of 180.
180-59=121
2) find the value of x by adding 3x+5 and 2x-4 together and set those values equal to 121 since 121 was the value of the remaining angle after you removed 59.
5x+1=121
5x=120
x=24
3) plug your x value into the 3x+5
3(24)+5=77
4) add 77+59 since RUT is a combination of both 3x+5 and 59°
77+59=136
ANSWER= 136°
I really hope that made sense :)
