3x + y = -5, 6x + 2y = 10 with substitution

Alright.

6x+2y=10
3x+y=-5 times the bottom one by 2

6x+2y=-10 is the new equation.
Therefore as you can see the the X and Y variables match but the starting points don’t match. So there is no solution.
