The answer is $29.40
You take the original price and multiply it by .3(30%). Then you’ll take that answer, which is 12.6 and subtract it from 42
42x.3=12.6
42-12.6=$29.40

If the original price of the sweater is $42 and you get it for 30% off, it means that you are only paying 70% of the original price. So, the sale price would be . 70 X 42 = 29.40
