Distribute:


-7=((1)/(2) )(z)+((1)/(2) )(12)


(1)/(2) z+6=-7

Subtract 6 from both sides:


(1)/(2) z+6-6=-7-6


(1)/(2) z=-13

Multiply both sides by 2:
