I remember when I was a kid, I took initiative to go above and beyond what was originally expected on a project. I was assigned to create a presentation for our school's science fair.

At first I just planned to create a basic presentation with powerpoint slides and present it. However, I wanted to make something more creative and memorable.

So I took the initiative to have a hands-on demonstration. I created a model of an atom, where I used Styrofoam balls and toothpicks to represent the nucleus and electrons. I also put together a poster with information about the different parts of an atom, as well as a quiz at the end.

This extra effort was appreciated by the teachers and students alike, as it made the presentation more interesting and engaging. It also helped me to earn a higher grade than I was originally expecting. It was a great learning experience for me and it showed me the importance of taking initiative to go beyond the expected.
