After the skin is cut and a capillary wall breaks, platelets clump at the site to form clotting of blood. There are several steps involved in the clotting of the blood. The blood vessel starts constricting to reduce the blood loss. Then the platelets starts to form near the cut area to form the clotting. The clotting cannot be more or less. Maximum clotting of blood can lead to death of a person.
