the legs of the traingle are the sides that touch the right angle
the lolngest side is the hypotnuse

use the pythagorean theorem that say
if a and b are legs and c=hypotonuse
a^2+b^2=c^2

the picture illustrates this concept

so we have the legs are 6 and 8
the areas are 6^2 and 8^2 which is 36 and 64

areas are 36 squaer units and 64 square units
