All of these factors contribute to the fact that the biome in these regions favors smaller and sturdier plants which can thrive in such conditions.

The alpine biome is low in temperature, high in snow fall and with robust wind speeds. These plants are barely surviving in these types of conditions. Also the alpine biome has a higher sunlight rate which affects the plants development and homeostatic balance.
