The charge of a nucleus of any atom is positive because the nucleus contains only positive charges (protons) and neutral charges (neutrons).

Hope this helps!

Okay, so in the nucleus, we know that their is only protons and neutrons, so the charge would be +1

Now, there are 8 protons, so add the positive charge to it, and it would be +8.
