The GCF is 4 because if you use subsequent division, you get 4. 24/2=12 44/2=22. 12/2=6 22/2=11. 2 times 2 =
4
.

write out all the factors of each number or draw out a factor tree
24:1,2,3,4,6,8,12,24
44:1,2,4,11,22
the GCF is the largest number in both the lists so in this case it is 4
