To simplify, add 4x to each side;
-2x-3+4x=-4x+3+4x
2x-3=3
Add 3 to each side;
2x-3+3=3+3
2x=6
Divide each side by 2;
x=3

Let's get together and work it out.

You said that -2x - 3 = -4x + 3

Add 4x to each side: 2x - 3 = 3

Add 3 to each side: 2x = 6

Divide each side by 2 : x = 3 .
