Describe Sir Gawain's personality

All his actions are noble. It is important to remember that fight with the Green Knight was Gawain's first challenge; he was the youngest knight of King Arthur's court, a knight with no experience behind him

Gawain is very modest - he says on multiple occasions that he is the weakest among Arthur's knights. However, he is also ambitious - he wants to become better and prove his worth. He is honest, and true to his word, not wanting to go back on his word and back out of his deal with the Green Knight. He is brave, good, and kind, and in the end, he is a humbled man who realizes his own faults.
