Answer:

Ignore the decimal until its needed

Explanation:

Adding decimals is easy. All you need to do is remove the decimals from your simple addition equation, and solve. Then, you need to add the decimal in the depending on the number 2nd place for example

12.00 + 13.00

remove the decimal

1200 + 1300 = 2500

add the decimal

12.00 + 13.00 = 25.00

This is also helpful with decimals that don't have any zeros for example:

12.32 + 45.62

remove the decimal

1232 + 4562 = 5794

add the decimal

12.32 + 45.62 = 57.94

Their are better and more efficient ways to add decimals but if you think on a lower level than others or like to think in a less complex way to help math work be less confusing, then, I would consider this way of adding decimals,

when adding decimals always line them up
for example: 5.23
+6.35
