First 9/9 is just 1 and you subtract it to the other side bc to solve for n you want to get it alone 9/9=1=6/6 so 5/6-6/6=-1/6 and to get the n alone you must also divide both sides by 7 to make 7n into 7
-1/6=7n
-1/42=n
