Chromosomal alteration/aberration has four types: Deletion - portion of the chromosome is lost or deleted. Duplication - portion of chromosome is duplicated creating extra genetic materials. Translocation - portion of a chromosome is transferred to another. Inversion - portion of chromosome is cut, turned upside down and reattached to the same chromosome.
