Answer: The given statement is True.

Humidity and temperature are the significant factors which support the growth and survival of bacteria and viruses. No bacteria or virus can survive in an environment with less than ten percent of humidity.

In the dry conditions, the essential biochemical reactions will not take place. Also, food which is taken by bacteria and viruses, will not be dissolved properly. This will eventually limit the availability of energy, thereby hampering the survival of bacteria and viruses.

The question is asking to state either the said statement about the bacteria and viruses is true or false, base on my research , I would say that the answer would be True that the Bacteria and viruses can only survive on a dry surface are for 2 hours. I hope you are satisfied with my answer
