The chief governing body of Rome is called Roman Senate. Roman Senate or Senator was the political institution of Rome. Senate came from the latin word senex meaning “Old man”. Roman Senate was like an advisor of the king in early years. Roman Senate was a group of elder people that was formed to help the King decide for their Country’s economy. It is said that it was the first king of Rome, Romulus, who created the group of senate.
