its supposed to be 4x^2.

Simply plug two in for x :)
f(2) = 4(2) × 2 + 5
f(2)=8 × 2 + 5
f(2)=16 + 5
f(2)=21
There's your answer :) (I just assumed that 2 was being multiplied when you said 4x2)
