Add the equations in order to solve for the first variable. Plug this value into the other equations in order to solve for the remaining variables.

2x = 2y + 12
2 2
x = y + 6

x - y = 6
(y + 6) - y = 6
y - y + 6 = 6
6 = 6

There are many infinite solutions in the problem.
