What is the most widely accepted theory on how early humans migrated to North America?

The most widely accepted theory is that the Americans (well, at the time still Asians) arrived from Northern Asia to America through the Bering Strait during the Ice Age, when the Strait was either frozen or very shallow (so they could use very primitive boats and do island-hoping).
