How was the renaissance worldview different from that of the Middle Ages?

The Renaissance worldview was vastly different from that of the Middle Ages since the Renaissance but a focus back on art, literature, sciences, etc., which had all "taken a back seat" to a blind faith in religion and monarchy during the Middle Ages.
