One similarity between Korean and Vietnam in terms of their cultural development is the importance of martial arts (Vovinam in Vietnam, Taekwondo in Korea).
Furthermore, both are in Asia, and share a number of traits because of this, such as the importance of rice for the cuisine and nutrition and for example, originally both borrowed the script from China, and later introduced a script which more directly reflects pronunciation.
