WHEN YOU HAVE DIFFERENT SIGNES, the result is -
+ with - = -
- with + = -

so
-(-A-B+2C)=
A+B-2C

the equation is really
-1(-A-B+2C)
negative times negative=positive
negative times positive=negative
-1(-A-B+2C)=+1A+1B-2C=A+B-2C
