A. Siddhartha Gautama.
Confucius was a philosopher, and did not seek to find an end to suffering.
Ashoka was an Indian Emperor of the Ashokan Empire, so he was more than a prince.
The Rig Vedas are the central text of Hinduism.

Hope this helps you out.

The description is referring to A. Siddhartha Gautama.
He was a prince who was very sheltered as a child, so when he was older and left the palace, he was shocked to see all of the suffering. He gave up his title and went off to try to find a way to end suffering. He did this by meditation and later became known as the Buddha. He is the founder of Buddhism and the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path.
