2/3 is not equivalent to 6/10
thats because 3 times 3 doesnt equal to 10. it equals to 9.
so 2/3 equals to 6/9

You can't simplify 2/3, but you can divide both sides of 6/10 by 2 to simplify it. 6/10=3/5, which doesn't equal 2/3.
