Find the gravitational potential energy of a 2kg ball that is 10m off the ground.

Well the gravitational potential energy is = 9.8 and so its

2*9.8*10=196 J

Gravitational Potential Energy = mgh.

Where m = mass in kg.
g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s2.
h = height in metres.
PE is in Joules

Potential Energy = 2 * 9.81*10 = 196.2 J
