The theory states that life began in a warm pool or ocean from a combination of chemicals that forms amino acids, which then makes proteins. These reactions forming molecules of life This is supposed to have happened 3.8 to 3.5 billion years ago. J.B.S. Haldane first brought about this idea and Miller and Urey made the molecules in an artificial environment with the help of methane, ammonia, hydrogen, water and no oxygen.

The primordial soup theory suggest that life began in a pond or ocean as a result of the combination of chemicals from the atmosphere and some form of energy to make amino acids, the building block of proteins. which would then evolve into all species.
