60-15=45st last year
60+45=105 stud.total

Since 25% is 1/4, you multiply 60 by 1/4 to get how many students took Spanish class last year. So, 60 times 1/4 is 60/4, which is 15. Then you subtract 15 from 60 to get 45. So, 45 students took Spanish class last year.
