Perimeter is the distance around the object. And area is the amount of space in an object. if you have the length and width: multiply those 2 numbers and you get area. Take BOTH lengths and widths and add them 4 together.

for perimeter, add the lengths and widths

for area, multiply the length by the width

So, the perimeter is 6+6+5+5

=22

the area is 6 times 5

=30
