What was a result of time standardization? Railways were able to transport meat without spoilage. Trains provided cars with pull-down beds for overnight travel. Trains from different rail lines could use each other’s tracks. Rail companies began to create their own styles of rails and tracks..

Trains from different rail lines could use each other's tracks.

Before time standardization, different tracks existed for different trains so said trains could only travel so far. After time standardization, the same standard for all tracks was implemented which meant that any train could travel on any track.
