In an experiment, 2.54 grams of copper completely reacts with sulfur, producing 3.18 grams of copper(I). Determine the total mass of sulfur consumed. And write the chemical formula of the compound produced.

3.18 grams of product (Cu I) - 2.54 grams of Cu (reactant) = .64 grams of Sulfur, by law of conservation of mass.
