2n+5+7n+8n? first you can use like term

7n+8n =15n 15n+2n=17n

5+17n=5+17n because 5 do not have Variable.

I don't know if it's multiple choice or not, so I'll just give you my thought on equivalent expressions. Equivalent expressions are expressions that are the same, even though they may look a little different. If you plug in the same variable value into equivalent expressions, they will each give you the same value when you simplify.
