The sun is a ball of gaseous plasma, not a solid body.so the gaseous atmospheres of jupiter and saturn, the exterior of the sun rotates at different speeds depending onits solar latitude. The polar ares of the sun rotate about once every 34.4 earth days. The equatorial regions travel the fastest, completing in just 25.05 days.
