How do the offspring genetically compare to the parents?

The offsprings (meaning the children) are different from their parents because
, the gametes (sexual reproduction cells, they are produced by parents) are being produced with meiosis and with meiosis only half of the parents genetics come to an offspring the other half comes from the other parent and they fuse (gametes fuse with each other its called fertilization) to make a new organism .
