x² + 4 = 0
- 4 - 4
x² = -4
x = +2i

x² - 6x + 1 = 0
x = -(-6) +/- √((-6)² - 4(1)(1))
2(1)
x = 6 +/- √(36 - 4)
2
x = 6 +/- √(32)
2
x = 6 +/- 2√(2)
2
x = 3 + √(2)
x = 3 + √(2) x = 3 - √(2)
