-17x 15 6x - 23 = 10 - 8x

First add your x values and your numbers on the left side
-17x + 6x= -11x
15 + -23= -8
New equation is:
-11x-8= 10-8x
Since you can't have 2 x values on different sides, you have two add the least x value to the other one. -11 is smaller
10 + 3X= -8
Subtract 10 on both sides.
3x= -18
Divide by 3
X= -6
