For the answer to the question above, I'll provide a solution to my answer below.
(4 / 5) + (3 / x) = (1/2)

x cannot equal 0

(4x + 15) / 5x = 1/2
2(4x + 15) = 5x
8x + 30 = 5x
3x = -30
x = -10
