do what is in the parenthesis first 7 + 4/10 + 3/10 = 7 and 7/10
change each mixed number to a fraction then multiply
8 1/5 * 7 7/10
41/5 * 77/10 =
change to mixed number

=
8 1/5 ( 4 4/10 + 3 3/10)
= 8 1/5 * 7 7/10
= 41/5 * 77/10
= 3157/ 50
= 63 7/50
