The cost (in dollars) of making n birthday cakes is represented by C = 24n + 35. How many birthday cakes are make when the cost is $395? Explain your reasoning.

so C = $395. you would write it out like 395 = 24n + 35
subtract the 35 from both sides to get 360 = 24n
divide 24 on both sides to get 15.
n = the number of cakes made, which is 15
