For the answer to the question above, I believe that the answer is Rene Descartes. He is a french and he introduced the Cartesian Plane that is still used until now. He is also d
ubbed the father of modern western philosophy, much of subsequent Western philosophy
is a response to his writings
which are studied closely to this day.
