The answer for question number one “Which quotation most accurately reflects the views of World War l soldiers from many European nations?” is B) “Don’t worry, Mother. I’ll be home for Christmas. You’ll see.” Soldiers from Frances, Germany and Britain reflected this attitude on July 28th 1914 as they left for war hoping they would be back before Christmas safe with their families. The answer for the second question “What happened as nations competed to build strong economies and large empires in the period leading up to World War l.” is that nations rose among the nations of the industrial world. As nations clamored to gain more resources tensions rose and this among other factors lead to the outbreak of World War l.
