Both of this factors play a significant role in the desertification process.

The climate change is the natural factor, so when the temperatures start to rise at certain place and the amount of precipitation gets very low, the landscape slowly changes according to the conditions and results in a desertous landscape.

The destructive land use is the anthropogenic factor, where we have human activity is the prime cause for destroying a certain type of environment and makes long term damage, so the landscape starts to take the desertous shape and attributes.
